I am Georgina de Brelàz.
I’m a Registered Psychologist with over two decades of experience working across organisational, clinical, and educational settings. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people of different ages and backgrounds through a wide range of challenges.
I deeply believe in people’s ability to change, grow, and live meaningful lives. My approach is integrative and person-centred — flexible and guided by a genuine therapeutic relationship. I’m passionate about walking alongside clients in difficult times, as well as supporting those who want to focus on self-development and personal growth.
My work is grounded in the values of connection, collaboration, and kindness, and I’ve been described as warm, approachable, and authentic. Depending on what feels right for each person, our work together can be short, medium, or longer term.
Given my own multicultural background, I bring particular awareness of cultural nuances and offer sessions in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. I work with clients experiencing a variety of difficulties, including anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, grief and loss, low self-esteem, interpersonal or work challenges, decision-making difficulties, life transitions, and adjustment issues.
Above all, my aim is to work collaboratively with you to understand your needs and hopes, building on your strengths to help you move toward the life you want to live.

Psychological Services
I work with adults experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related challenges, relational difficulties, and emotional issues that arise across the lifespan.
I support people with anxiety disorders, mood disorders such as depression, trauma, grief and bereavement, low self-esteem and self-worth challenges, relational difficulties, emotional dysregulation, attachment issues, identity concerns, adjustment disorders, decision-making difficulties, and the psychological impacts of cultural adjustment and migration, supporting them through the varied transitions and complexities across the lifespan.
In our first session, I will want to hear what has brought you to therapy, at your own pace. We will begin exploring your current concerns, what are you hopes for therapy, and any important aspects of your personal history or life context that you feel willing to share.
This initial session is also a time to start building a sense of safety and connection, which are the foundation of meaningful therapy. Together, we will begin to formulate an understanding of your experiences – looking at patterns, thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and how these may be connected to your challenges or hopes for change. But above all, this first session is about you feeling heard and understood.
Session rates
My rate is $230 for a 50–60 minute individual therapy session. Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice. If a session is missed or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice, a fee equal to half the session rate will apply.
Medicare Rebates
Medicare provides a rebate of $98.95 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. To access these rebates, you’ll need a referral and a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP or referral only from a psychiatrist. This usually requires booking a longer appointment with your doctor. Please send these via email prior to your first session or bring them with you so that the rebate can be applied.
Other Funding Providers
I am a registered provider for Private Health funded psychological services. Please contact your health fund to determine your eligibility.
